I have been blessed to be invited to share a booth for the upcoming Selangor Expo 2016. Among the products that I will be bringing are my baby quilt, my own published quilting book, telekung or prayergown, and songket gift products.

These make ideal gifts or souvenirs from Malaysian songkets. The products I’ll be bringing are bookmarks, covered notebook, and stuffed elephant.

My quilting book which was published last year, showcasing The Batik Boutique’s Malaysian batiks.

And finally, my telekung or prayer gown that has the quilted look that I love so much. It falls just above the knees and the lining is covering the chest area.

If you are interested to carry my products, please come and meet me there. WA me at 60162222004 for appointments or where to find me.

I have been fortunate to have several places to run my patchwork classes beside the Spotlight branches.

The venues include Shah Alam, Bandar Baru Bangi, and Seri Kembangan. Hopefully, I am able to reach out to a wider audience.

However, outside of Klang Valley the only hope is online classes. I will send the materials via registered mail. The classes will be conducted via email zarina.craft at gmail dot com (remove the spaces, replace at with @ and the word dot with .), FaceBook PM (Zarina Craft) or Whatsapps (+60 16 222 2004). There will be ample photos and short videos on the steps.

Below are posters for the upcoming classes in October and November 2016. Hope to see you all.

I have received a new quilted‬ product order from The Batik Boutique. It is time tolearn‬ a new free motion quilt‬ ‪‎design‬. ‪I picked a design from Leah Day’s Free Motion Quilting Project.

For the product, I have added two other quilting‬ designs‬:‪ stippling‬ and the classic‬ quilting affect in ‪Chanel’s‬ ‪‎handbag‬s.

And the completed product. It could be used as a ‪‎bedside‬ companion to keep your eye glasses ‬and hand phones. Personally, I would also keep a pencil & eraser because I love working with ‪Kakuro‬, a number puzzle before I go to sleep.

One of my crafters friend asked me to make a baby quilt for her grand-niece. The grand aunty has an eye for these designer fabrics from my stash, we added the black polka dot to give it a modern look.
The designer fabrics from the left are:
– Farmers Market by Sandi Henderson
– Heart to Heart by Robert Kaufmann
– Dessert Party by Ann Kelle
It is a surprise that different fabrics for the binding give different looks to the quilt.

It was a great pleasure to receive this request, working with baby clothes. I mean, look at these cute onesies. There was a myriad of colors which made using white as sashings works fine.

I chose to cut these into 5.5″ squares to fuss cut the objects/pictures on each onesies.

This is the top with all its glory.

Collars and ruffles went into the quilt.
